Why use FRP to build a hydroponics tank?

Besides plastic bag cover wood frame, styrofoam box, we use FRP to build the most strong hydroponics tank to grow plants, reasons as below:

Fiber-reinforced plastic Products (FRP Products) (also known as fiber-reinforced polymer) are composite materials made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. The fibers are usually fiberglass, carbon, or aramid, while the polymer is usually an epoxy, vinyl ester or polyester thermosetting plastic. Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) is an FRP where the reinforcing material is glass. FRPs are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries.

Different types of FRPs/GRPs have different properties.
But, in general, all of them have excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, good impact resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio and slip resistance. Further, these materials are electrically and thermally non-conductive and electronically transparent. FRPs have long maintenance-free lives and are fire retardant. FRP/GRP products are easy to fabricate, and have replaced steel in several applications.

FRP -  Fibre Reinforced Polymer products Advantage Are:

*High ratio of strength-to-density weight (20% of steel, 70% of aluminum).
*Stronger than structural steel kg. per kg.
*Extremely durable in corrosive environments.
*Excellent ratio of cost-per-performance over time.
*Will not warp, break, deform, crack, splint or dent.
*Transparent to Radar and Radio waves.
*Electrical and Thermal insulation.
*Non-Conductive.
*Non-Corrosive.
*Heat Resistant.
*Fire retardant (UL94: V-1) *
*Water Resistant.
*Choice of colors.
*Virtually maintenance-free.
*Easy to fabricate (saw, drill, punch, etc.).
* available upon customers’ request
